Cleaning and sanitizing areas in which food is handled is extremely important. If surfaces in food service areas are not properly cleaned and sanitized, chemical hazards and cross-contamination can lead to foodborne illnesses. Foodborne illnesses can often be a result of improper use of cleaning products or use of unsafe cleaning products in food service areas. Buckeye’s Food Service Program promotes a sanitary environment with effective products and procedures for your facility’s food service area. With Buckeye’s food service products, risk of foodborne illnesses is greatly decreased.

Buckeye Food Service Products

Buckeye provides several products specifically designed for food service. Buckeye food service products are concentrated, economical, butyl-free, biodegradable, and packaged in waterproof containers. These products include Dysh concentrated liquid detergent, Sani-Q2™ disinfectant sanitizer, FoodMaster Concentrate heavy-duty cleaner/degreaser, and Liberate® heavy-duty foaming cleaner.

Dysh is a liquid detergent designed for hand washing dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and silverware. FoodMaster Concentrate and Liberate work to get rid of grease and heavy soils on floors, walls, cutting tables, countertops, baking pans, and processing equipment. Sani-Q2 effectively kills Salmonella, disinfecting surfaces exposed to raw food products like meat and poultry. Sani-Q2, FoodMaster Concentrate, and Liberate are all registered with the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), meaning they are compliant with food safety regulations.

Each Buckeye product comes with hands-on training to ensure that each part of your facility is maintained and clean. For schools and universities, the Buckeye Honors® training program has informational materials and videos for food service and other integral aspects of facility maintenance, like carpet care, wood floor care, hard floor care, and cleaning restrooms, lockers, and showers.

Eco Proportioning Program and Food Service

The Buckeye Eco® Proportioning Program will help you achieve the best overall value for each dollar spent with products that are effective, safer and economical, and packaging that is flexible and sustainable. Eco products are super concentrated and packaged in 1.25 L bags that are hermetically sealed to ensure no contamination, and manufactured with 83% less plastic than rigid containers so less waste goes to landfills.

Eco Food Service

The Eco program is ideal for cleaning in any area including food service areas. Eco Sanitizer E62/S62 is a broad-range sanitizer that can be used on walls, floors, fixtures, and on food processing and preparation surfaces. To clean glass and acrylic plastic surfaces covering food surfaces, use Eco Multi-Purpose Glass Cleaner E13. Eco Heavy-Duty Cleaner E61/S61 can be used to clean stainless steel and food contact surfaces in cafeteria settings. To disinfect trash receptacles, use Eco One-Step Disinfectant/Deodorizer/Cleaner E22/S22. Using these Eco products will improve the overall cleanliness of your food service area.
